Software Engineer

Our client is a Silicon Valley company specialising in Vertical AI SaaS solutions, collaborating with top firms worldwide in industries such as accounting, consulting, investment banking, legal, private capital, and real assets.

They’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong expertise in React to join their growing team at a new R&D center in Lisbon. In this role, you’ll contribute to enhancing existing software and developing new products, focusing on key features and driving innovation within an established development framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Architecture & Development: Design and build scalable backend solutions with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
• Frontend Development: Implement complex user interfaces using React (JavaScript), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams to gather requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
• Cloud-Native Application Development: Build scalable and reliable applications using the Azure Cloud Platform.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on best practices related to security, performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Infrastructure & CI/CD: Lead discussions on cloud infrastructure, system integrations, and improvements to CI/CD pipelines.
• Technology Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively address technical challenges.
• Team Mentorship: Mentor junior and intermediate engineers on code quality, cloud optimisation, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into aligned technical solutions and architecture.

What You Bring:

• JavaScript Expertise: Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Frontend Skills: Proficient in React.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• UI Development: Experience with responsive layouts, modern layout techniques, component-based architecture, JSX, hooks, state management, and lifecycle methods.
• TypeScript Knowledge: Hands-on experience with TypeScript or a similar strongly typed JavaScript superset.
• Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Azure or other major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and deploying in cloud environments.
