Business Analyst

Our client is a global leader in cloud-based business management solutions, helping companies streamline their accounting, payroll, and HR operations through powerful, intuitive software trusted by millions around the world.

They’re looking for a Business Analyst to join their team and support the Portuguese market. You’ll help analyse and document legal, fiscal, and functional requirements, with a focus on accounting, VAT, SAF-T PT, and local business processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and deliver simple, effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portuguese Requirements Analysis: Analyse and document all legal and functional requirements specific to Portugal.
• Technical Alignment: Ensure business needs align with technical solutions by working closely with the Architecture team.
• User Story Collaboration: Work with Product Owners to refine and validate user stories.
• User Experience Design: Partner with the Experience Design team to define user journeys and deliver compliant, user-friendly interfaces.
• Delivery Support: Provide ongoing support to development and QA teams throughout the delivery cycle.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up to date on local regulations and liaise with experts on topics like AT-certified invoices, VAT returns, SAF-T (PT), withholding tax, Modelo 10/30, etc.
• Certification Compliance: Ensure software complies with Portuguese certification rules.
• Legal Documentation Support: Provide input to documentation and customer-facing teams regarding legal materials and best practices.

What You Bring:

• Legal & Business Expertise: Strong knowledge of Portuguese legislation, local business processes, VAT, and software certification rules (must-have).
• Tools Proficiency: Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Industry Background: Professional experience in software, ideally in invoicing or accounting solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and align diverse stakeholders.
• Language Skills: Fluent in both Portuguese and English.
