Export Control & Defense Compliance Manager
As our Export Control & Defense Compliance Business Partner, you will bridge the gap between complex international trade laws and our daily operational execution. Sitting at the intersection of Engineering, Supply Chain, and Legal, you will have corporate ownership over the design, implementation, and scaling of our internal Export Control Compliance Programme.
This is a high-visibility, senior advisory role. You won’t just be auditing processes; you will act as a trusted strategic partner to executive stakeholders, ensuring our international bids, dual-use technology transfers, and military equipment shipments remain entirely compliant with stringent national and international defense frameworks (including EU dual-use regulations, ITAR, and EAR). Your expertise will actively mitigate corporate risk while keeping our global defense operations moving at speed.
Key responsibilities

Design and implement the Export Control Compliance Programme (policies, procedures, governance)

Classify products and technologies (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use, national regimes)
- EAR : Export Administration Regulations (Réglementation américaine sur l'administration des exportations civils et à double usage).
- ITAR : International Traffic in Arms Regulations (Réglementation américaine sur le trafic international des armes et matériels militaires).
- EU Dual-Use : European Union Dual-Use (Réglementation de l'Union européenne sur le contrôle des exportations de biens et technologies à double usage).
- National regimes : Régimes nationaux (Réglementations propres à chaque pays pour contrôler leurs exportations de matériels de guerre et protéger leur sécurité nationale).

Lead export licence applications and manage regulatory authorities

Monitor regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance

Advise cross-functional teams and support product development

Review contracts and ensure sanctions compliance

Deliver training, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement
Candidate profile
-
10+ years’ experience in export control (defence, aerospace, or advanced technology)

Strong expertise in EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use, and sanctions frameworks

Proven experience building and implementing compliance programmes

Solid classification and licensing experience

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Master’s degree in a relevant field

Fluent English
