Accounts Payable Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will be an essential member of our Finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payments vendor invoices and maintaining precise records within our accounting system. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with both internal teams ensuring smooth and efficient payment processes and maintaining strong relationships.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and data entry;
- Review and reconcile vendor statements to verify outstanding payments are correct;
- Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies;
- Perform month-end closing tasks, including bank reconciliations, reconciling accounts payable balances;
- Preparing ageing reports, PL analysis and accruals and deferrals;
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries;
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to management.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or a comparable field;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
