HEAD OF CONTROLLING & TREASURY - Industrial Company

Our client is an international industrial group, seeking a Head of Controlling & Treasury to strengthen financial management, enhance cost control and cash discipline, and drive financial performance across its international operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead the Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Cost Control, Treasury, Working Capital and Credit Management functions across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis across international operations.
• Drive industrial cost control, profitability analysis and cost-reduction initiatives in close collaboration with plant and operations teams.
• Oversee treasury, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity, working capital and credit management.
• Partner with senior management, Procurement and Sales to support business decisions and improve financial performance.
• Provide financial oversight for major industrial investment projects and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Develop the Controlling & Treasury teams, strengthening processes, governance and reporting standards across countries.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong experience in Controlling, FP&A and/or Treasury, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of industrial cost control, working capital and cash-flow management.
• Strong analytical, business partnering and stakeholder management skills, combined with a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
• Experience in international environments and team leadership is highly valued.

Location: This is an hybrid role but the candidate needs to be available to travel to Portalegre some days per month.

Languages: English is mandatory. Spanish and Italian are a plus.
