Software Developer - Backend/Smart Contracts

Our client is a pioneering investment firm leveraging blockchain technology to transform real estate asset tokenization. They are building a cutting-edge platform focused on compliance, security, and scalability, and are looking for a talented Backend/Smart Contracts Developer to join their team in Lisbon.

You’ll play a central role in designing and implementing the core architecture of the MVP, working on smart contracts, backend APIs, and blockchain integrations in a highly technical and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Smart Contract Development: Design and implement ERC-3643 smart contracts for real estate asset tokenization.
• Compliance Framework: Integrate the T-REX framework to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identity Verification: Implement ONCHAINID for investor verification and KYC processes.
• Backend API Development: Build APIs for user, asset, and transaction management.
• Wallet Management: Develop a hybrid wallet system (custodial and non-custodial).
• Regulatory Endpoints: Create endpoints for Portuguese compliance requirements.
• Security & Auditability: Ensure robust security and audit standards for all code.
• CI/CD Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps to implement continuous integration and deployment.

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Solid experience in backend development (Node.js, Python, or Java).
• Hands-on experience with smart contract development in Solidity.
• Strong knowledge of Ethereum and ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-3643).
• Familiarity with Web3.js, Ethers.js, and blockchain integration.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
• Expertise in RESTful and GraphQL API design.
• Understanding of security best practices and smart contract audits.
