Senior Application Security Engineer

Our client is a leading Silicon Valley company specialising in Vertical AI SaaS solutions, collaborating with top firms worldwide in industries such as accounting, consulting, investment banking, legal, private capital, and real assets.

They’re seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer with strong experience in Java and Python. In this role, you’ll focus on a specific subset of their products, gaining a deep technical understanding and working closely with development teams to ensure products are secure by design.

Key Responsibilities

• Define Security Requirements: Collaborate with teams to define requirements for security-related features.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks using techniques such as threat modeling.
• Automated Security Testing: Design and implement automated tests to validate application security.
• Manual Security Assessments: Conduct code reviews and perform manual evaluations of application security.
• Vulnerability Response: Lead and coordinate efforts to address and resolve security vulnerabilities.

What You Bring

• Extensive cybersecurity, application security, and development experience.
• Strong backend development skills in Java or Python.
• Familiarity with the .NET Framework and modern .NET (a plus).
• Frontend development experience using at least one JavaScript framework.
• Skilled in designing and executing unit and end-to-end tests (both automated and manual).
• Proven ability to analyse and act on SCA / SAST / DAST results.
• Application penetration testing experience (a bonus).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
