An exciting opportunity is now open for a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our client’s innovative and multidisciplinary team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge smart cameras for space applications, image processing hardware and software, and nano-satellites. You’ll also be working on developing advanced technologies focused on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems for Earth Observation and Space Exploration missions.
Your Role:
As a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for analysing requirements and implementing embedded system designs from concept to hardware. This includes the end-to-end development of intelligent payloads for nano-satellites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse and Define Requirements: Conduct requirements analysis and define embedded system designs, guiding projects from concept through to hardware implementation.
• Design and Test Digital Electronics Hardware: Design, analyse, document, verify, and test digital electronics hardware for aerospace applications, including systems for command and control, data compression and storage, signal processing, and communications.
• Design and Deliver Printed Circuit Boards: Carry out the design, testing, and delivery of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Develop Real-Time Embedded Software: Design, analyse, develop, and test real-time embedded software applications for aerospace systems.
What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences, electronics or robotics engineering (or equivalent).
• Solid design skills associated with electronics hardware with experience in verification and validation of designs.
• Experience in software for designing printed circuit boards (PCB).
• Experience in developing algorithms for hardware implementation.
• Experience in electronics test and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with standard interface protocols such as Ethernet, SpaceWire, RS-422, CAN, SPI and I2C.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong proficiency in English.
Valued Qualifications:
• VHDL and FPGA Expertise: Experience with VHDL, FPGA design tools, simulation tools, clock routing and management, synchronous design, and worst-case timing analysis is preferred.
• Programming Skills: Experience in Java or Android programming is an asset.
