At Robert Walters, we are looking for an engineer with experience in network operation and maintenance for a company in the Telecommunications Sector. The mission consists in guaranteeing the network operation and maintenance (passive and active elements) in order to comply with SLAs and Quality levels

Academic Qualifications: Degree in Computer Engineering/Electrotechnics/Telecommunications and/or 12th year
in the technological area

Experience:

More than 2 years of professional experience
Experience in the telecommunications industry (preferred)

Responsibilities:

Ensure network provision, maintenance and fault resolution
Develop documentation and operating procedures
Create and keep up-to-date network registration tools
Provide technical support to Field Service teams (and others), if necessary interaction with suppliers
Participate in the process of implementing network and client solutions
Participate in testing of network equipment and technologies
Report any non-conformities or obstacles to carrying out the work to the coordinator
Comply with quality, environment, safety and health at work and information security procedures, in
vigor in the company

Other competences:

Experience in interacting with national and international operators to
fault screening and implementation of new interconnections;
• Knowledge in the AX Ericsson platform;
• Knowledge in the SONUS/RIBBON platform;
• Knowledge of OSS and BSS systems.
Computer skills - MS Office from the user's perspective: Word, Excel, Access
Knowledge of technological standards and best practices in the voice area
Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
Skills for preparing technical reports
Monitoring and alarm systems
Telecommunications Protocols and Network SLA Management

VOICE specific requirements:
• Knowledge of TDM Voice, VOIP and Unified Communications;
• Knowledge of protocols in the VOICE area (SS7, ISUP, H.323, SIP, ISDN,
POTS, V5.2);
• Knowledge of SBC platforms;
• Knowledge of class 5 services;
• Experience in operator voice platform operation
