Position Title: DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the DevOps practices and processes within the organization. This includes collaboration with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to automate and streamline software delivery, infrastructure management, and operational processes. The DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of the production systems and providing technical expertise and support for the development and deployment of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Operations: Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software applications. Automate and optimize software build, deployment, and release processes. Monitor and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software build and deployment.

Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with operations teams to design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions for the organization's applications and systems. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and availability.

System Administration: Manage and maintain production systems and environments, including servers, networks, and databases. Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks. Implement and manage system security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and attacks.

Automation and Tooling: Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and frameworks to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency. Implement and maintain configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Implement and manage monitoring and logging tools for system and application performance monitoring.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to identify and implement DevOps best practices. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates on progress, issues, and recommendations related to DevOps processes and practices.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to DevOps processes, procedures, and best practices. Document system configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting guides. Keep documentation up-to-date to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Certifications in DevOps or related technologies are a plus.
