Robert Walters is now looking for a PL-SQL Developer to join one of our clients who work in the Transportation / Logistics industry. This is an international client, who has operations in Portugal, and is developing their brand new TMS for the transportation of food goods and more sensitive ones such as pharmaceutical goods. This systems is composed by many modules, developed with a diverse tech stack, that includes Oracle DBMS, PLSQL, Java, Power Builder and Cognos. This is a project with a huge impact and visibility within the company, so we're looking for highly motivated professionals to join the team.

ROLE
Oracle / J2EE back-end developer of our Transport information system solutions
Reporting to the Head of Innovation and TMS Implementation
Your position can be based either in Porto or Lisbon.

PROFILE
• With a higher education, you benefit from several successful Oracle development experiences, working with PL/SQL and more particularly on our technological environments that you master: Oracle 19c, Oracle Apex and Oracle ORDS. Knowledge of Java (Apache CXF, Servlets, Spring) and our front-end technologies (Liferay, ReactJS, Struts) would be appreciated.
• You have experience with TMS or IT solutions for the management of logistics flows.
• You master project management techniques. English, Italian or Spanish will be a plus.

General Mission of the position
• You will take charge of the development of evolution and maintenance of our transportation management solution.
• You will be responsible for the architecture of our backend applications.
• You will be part of a team of about fifteen people, specialists in our technologies, distributed between Paris and Lyon. This team is responsible for technically designing the solutions, implementing them and ensuring their maintenance.

You will participate in:
• The design and drafting of technical specifications of solutions
• Defining, publishing and ensuring the monitoring of our development standards
• Setting up and maintaining our back-end resources.
• Participating in the Oracle technological R&D

Languages:

• Ideally, French speakers
• Open for candidates who don't speak French, if they are a really good fit technically. In that case, Portuguese or english is enough.
