Robert Walters is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), containerization, monitoring, and security practices. Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure as Code:

• Managing and optimizing Azure cloud-based resources to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) (Azure/GIT):
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment.
• Monitoring and improving deployment processes to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and secure.
• Containerization and Orchestration:
• Implementing and managing containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Scaling and maintaining containerized applications for optimal performance.

Monitoring and Logging:

• Setting up monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and centralizing logging (e.g., ELK stack) for system health and performance analysis.
• Responding to and resolving incidents, ensuring system availability and reliability.
• Security and Compliance:
• Collaborating with the security team to implement security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Working closely with development and operations teams to bridge the gap between development and IT operations.
• Documenting processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Using Agile boards for planning and tracking project tasks.
• Scripting and Automation:
• Writing scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and processes.
• Continuously seeking opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting and coding for automation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
• Fluent in English - mandatory.
• Open to work on site in Oeiras
