Process Mining Data Engineer

Our client, a leading international development partner and supplier to the automotive industry is seeking a Process Mining Data Engineer. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in transforming raw data into valuable insights. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, and working closely with other specialists to create custom solutions for data analysis. Your understanding of the business requirements will help shape the organisation's entire data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
• Optimise Opportunities for Improvement: Proactively seek ways to help business teams maximise the use of Celonis by suggesting new ideas and utilising key Celonis components and tools such as Knowledge Models, Views, Analysis Creation, Action Flows, and PQL.
• Data Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and monitor data pipelines to ensure stable and efficient transport of data from sources to data warehouse/data lake.
• Data Exploration and Quality Improvement: Lead discovery and exploration of new data sources, organise raw data (structured and unstructured) and recommend improvements for data accuracy and quality.
• Data Transformation and Modeling: Create transformation functions for raw data, enabling analysis through analytics and process mining tools, while supporting predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Front-End Component Development: Build front-end components tailored to business requirements and create KPIs using insights from Process Mining and PQL for real-time business cases.
• SQL Script Creation: Create customised SQL scripts to transform, extract, and capture necessary data from source systems to accurately map out processes
• Collaboration with Specialists: Partner with data scientists, the Digital Automation Office team, and the AI Solution Architect to develop custom data pipelines and design platform architecture.
• Business Requirement Alignment: Collaborate with business partners to understand their requirements and ensure data integration within the organisation's ecosystem.
• Proof-of-Concept Participation: Test new data engineering tools and platforms, such as cloud data platforms and ETL solutions, through proof-of-concept activities.

What You Bring
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent, or currently pursuing relevant academic studies.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with Object-Centric Process Mining, Data Model Development, App Development, and Automation in Celonis, particularly in complex, global environments.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth expertise in backend technical architecture using Celonis, along with strong skills in SQL, PQL, Celonis analysis development, and SAP integration.
• AI/ML Knowledge: Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical applications in enhancing process mining capabilities.
• Methodology Experience: Solid experience in Agile, DevOps, and ITIL methodologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in German and Spanish is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals in English, with excellent presentation skills for business stakeholders and diverse audiences.
