Business Development Manager International Agribusiness

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand international markets, with a focus on Europe, Egypt and emerging markets in North Africa.
• Open new commercial channels and acquire major industrial clients (fresh produce, agro‑processing, frozen food, etc.).
• Structure commercial agreements, production partnerships, grower contracts and licensing/royalty agreements.
• Build and manage complete agricultural operations: farmer selection, hectare planning, production monitoring and final delivery.
• Work on topics related to Plant Breeders’ Rights, intellectual property, variety protection and mitigation of illegal production.
• Contribute to new business initiatives, such as natural colorant projects derived from sweet potatoes, integrating the entire value chain.
• Work directly with the Board and internal strategic and financial areas.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in agribusiness, seeds, plant propagation, horticulture, berries, agri‑biotech or agro‑industry.
• Strong experience in international business development.
• Knowledge of (or capacity to quickly learn) royalties, licensing and agricultural IP/PBR.
• Background in agricultural supply chains or production management.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; French or German is highly valued.
• High autonomy, resilience and ability to operate in complex markets.
• Frequent willingness to travel internationally.
