Contract Manager PV EPC (Alentejo)

International Renewable Energies EPC services company based in the Lisbon region is currently searching for HSE Leaders/Supervisors to support current and future projects of the company on the Portuguese market (north east Alentejo). Position based in the greater Lisbon.

About the Contract Manager

The Contract Manager will manage the entire life cycle of a contract in support of the completion of a project. Internally, he/she will interface mainly with the board, legal department, Business Manager, Operations Manager, Projects and O&M managers. Externally, he/she is the support for interfaces with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, landowners etc...

His/her mission is to ensure the best conditions for the company in its projects, from the commercial and tender phase to the commissioning of the plant and maintenance phase, through the implementation of its know-how in contractual matters and in close relationship with the legal department of the Group.

Main activities:

- Analyze the contractual context and scheme

- Drafting clarifications, contracts and protocols

- Make all binding elements accessible to all

- Support, assist and advise commercial teams and management

- Ensure that contracts are properly communicated to stakeholders (internal and external)

- Verify and clarify the insurance contractual conditions and contractual limits of liability

- Advise on the risks involved, propose optimization schemes

- Support, assist and advise operational teams and management

- Verify and clarify the issuance of bank guarantees, taxation applicable to the contract and currency hedging

- Analyze disputes, pre-litigation and advise operational entities on the conduct to be held

- Manage the contract file and update the documentation

- Managing and monitoring contractual administration in support of the project (milestones, deliverables, receipts, payments, etc.) and dealing with contractual deviations (notifications, correspondence, analyses, variations)

- Prepare the documentary elements to support a claim, see a pre-litigation or litigation in connection with the Group Legal Department

For this position, we require Master or equivalent in the fields of law, business, purchasing, economics, finance, or a degree from an engineering school, experience in the fields of contract management, operational project management, purchasing, commerce, contract law and consulting. It is required a good level of legal knowledge of contract law (insurance, guarantees, penalties), financial knowledge applied to project management (planning, payment plan, etc.) and 3 years experience in the photovoltaic domain and EPC contracts.

Required strong communication skills and fluency in English and Portuguese.
