Accountant Technician
Our client provides smart regulatory compliance solutions to the Financial Services industry to help them track, monitor, and manage complex risks related to regulatory activities worldwide.
The company is growing rapidly and is undertaking enterprise deployments at global scale, this being the reason why they are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant Technician to join our growing team in Lisbon.
Reporting to the Management Accountant and supporting multiple entities across the UK, Ireland, Portugal, and the US, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in an international environment.
About the role:
1. Accounts Receivable:
- Process 15–20 invoices per month.
- Monitor and collect payments from customers, managing late payer communications.
2. Accounts Payable:
- Process and review up to 300 invoices monthly.
- Handle recurring and ad-hoc payments.
3. Bank Reconciliations:
- Conduct regular reconciliations for multiple entities.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with Management Accountants to ensure accurate and timely postings.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and intercompany postings when needed.
- Ad-hoc requests
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience in a multinational.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, Primavera etc).
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (e.g., debits and credits).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
- Preferred: Part-qualified Certified Accountant (or willingness to pursue).
