Senior Financial Accountant

International company in the Renewables Energy Sector is currently searching for a Senior Financial Accountant for its offices based in Lisbon.

About the Senior Financial Accountant role

The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the Head of Finance. The main functions will be:

• Execution of tax planning measures,
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly/ annual tax reports,
• Managing individual and consolidated income tax compliance,
• Communicating with third-party experts, including attorneys, auditors, and Governmental Institutions,
• Preparing the monthly financial statements, P/L, balance sheet, cash flow statement and accruals,
• Intercompany accounting and dividend transactions,
• Manage and control Fixed Assets capitalization and Fixed depreciation,
• Work closely with the financial team to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit,
• Manage monthly general ledger activities, review and process adjusting and recurring journal entries, performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations,
• Implementation of new companies in Navision,
• Treasury accounting reconciliations and Cash Flow management,
• Drafting the year-end Annual Accounts,
• Prepare the monthly reports to the board

For this position, we require a 4+ years’ accounting experience. Experience managing Tax issues is appreciated. Knowledge of exel and Dynamics Navision would be an asset.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus.
